Gulf of Maine Books
Gulf of Maine Books opened for business in February 1979, and for the last 27 years we have been Maine's independent alternative bookstore. We are located at 134 Maine Street, Brunswick, Maine 04011. Our telephone is 207 729 5083.
We are celebrating the anniversary of the bookstore in a number of ways, one of them being the creation of a bookstore blog where we will share with readers the books we are currently reading, past book interests, store events, and more. We invite you to post responses, book suggestions, reviews, lists, and to engage in a conversation with us.

You should put your store hours in your profile (and leave them on your phone message).
Gary,
It was two, maybe three weeks ago when I bopped into the store and introduced you to my new book. At that time you took a copy to peruse. I have no way of knowing if you decided to order up a few copies. I hope you did because it would be nice for readers to buy their copies at Gulf of Maine. If you caught the review in last Friday's Times Record by Bill Bushnell, then you'll know that he was favorably disposed toward my book and recommended it as worth reading. The title is "Sandbox Camp Tales from a Maine Storyteller."
If I had your email address I'd be glad to send you a copy of the review.
Sincerely,

Sardine Limerick by Art Mayers
The sardine gains all its fame
From a herring that looks just the same
Caught in a net
Chop off its head
In a can it gets its new name
